JetBlue is boosting its loyalty offerings with its expanded “Match to Mosaic” program, now open to elite members of three additional U.S. airlines: the low-cost carriers Southwest, Spirit, and Frontier.

The Long Island-based airline has introduced an aggressive promotion designed specifically for elite members of competing U.S. airlines. This initiative invites these frequent fliers to seamlessly join its TrueBlue frequent flyer program at the highest status levels.

As part of this exclusive offer, participants will enjoy an impressive three months of complimentary benefits, which include priority boarding, extra baggage allowance, and access to select lounges. They will also have the opportunity to extend their membership beyond this initial period.

Such status match offers are a common strategy employed by airlines looking to capture the loyalty of frequent travelers from their competitors. Across the United States, JetBlue’s notable rivals—American Airlines, Delta, United, Southwest, and Alaska Airlines—all operate similar programs, and JetBlue is looking at poaching some loyalists and bringing them over to its TrueBlue scheme.

Mosaic Benefits and Tiers

JetBlue’s Mosaic program is divided into four elite tiers, each offering valuable perks for travelers. The first tier, Mosaic 1, provides elite members with two free checked bags, free inflight alcoholic beverages, same-day flight changes, priority boarding and security, free Even More Space seats at check-in, complimentary preferred Core cabin seats, and access to a dedicated customer support line. In a nod to Mint Suite fans, Mosaic 1 members also receive priority access to select Mint Suite seats on certain aircraft.

At Mosaic 2, perks become even more generous. Mosaic 2 members enjoy all the benefits of Mosaic 1, plus additional amenities like complimentary Even More Space seating at booking. Mosaic 2 travelers also receive a unique “Perk You Pick” benefit: a waiver of the $125 fee to bring a pet on board.

Travelers from the highest tiers of United, Delta, Alaska, and American Airlines can match to Mosaic 2, while members of Southwest, Spirit, and Frontier are only eligible to match to Mosaic 1.

Extending Status

The status match comes with a three-month trial, during which matched members can enjoy Mosaic benefits and work toward retaining or even upgrading their Mosaic status.

Travelers retain Mosaic 1 status by earning 10 tiles during this period, which they can accrue at one tile per $100 spent with JetBlue or one tile per $1,000 spent on eligible JetBlue credit cards. For Mosaic 2, members need to earn 25 tiles, and reaching 40 tiles elevates travelers to Mosaic 3—unlocking new privileges, including complimentary upgrades from Core to Mint seats.

How to Apply?

With the program now open to Southwest’s A-List and A-List Preferred, Spirit Gold, and Frontier’s Gold, Platinum, and Diamond members, JetBlue’s expanded Match to Mosaic program covers a larger slice of the domestic travel market.

Frequent fliers from United, Delta, Alaska, and American Airlines can continue to match to either Mosaic 1 or Mosaic 2 status, depending on their elite level.

To apply, travelers need to create a TrueBlue account and submit a screenshot of their loyalty profile showing their elite status and name. While processing can take up to four weeks, the program’s open enrollment—without an expiration date or cap on participants—offers unmatched flexibility in loyalty benefits.

By widening the door to elite perks and simplifying the application process, JetBlue is giving loyal travelers across major U.S. airlines compelling reasons to experience its elevated TrueBlue loyalty program firsthand.
