Turkish Airlines has opened its newest US lounge at New York – John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The renovated facility is located in Terminal 1 between Gates 2 and 3 in the space previously occupied by the Alitalia Lounge.

With nearly 4,600 square feet, the lounge can accommodate up to 140 guests and offers views of the airport operations with large windows overlooking the runway. A prayer room is also available in the lounge.

The lounge offers a menu that includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It features both hot and cold options, appetizers, and a variety of desserts. All meals are prepared by halal standards, and kosher alternatives are also available.

The lounge is available to Business Class guests and Elite/Elite Plus passengers aboard any of the three daily flights operated by Turkish Airlines from JFK, as well as Star Alliance Airlines’ First, Business Class guests and Gold card members flying on any Star Alliance Airlines.

As of January, the lounge is also open to Priority Pass members on a pay-per-use basis, depending on capacity.

“We’re committed to expanding our footprint across more U.S. gateways, and the opening of the new lounge at JFK is yet another exciting accomplishment on this mission,” said Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Turkish Airlines chairman of the board and the executive committee. “We’re proud to now offer our passengers transiting through the New York area an elevated lounge true to the Turkish Airlines experience.”

The JFK lounge is the carrier’s third US facility, joining existing Turkish Airlines lounges at Miami International and Washington Dulles. The lounge will operate between 9:00 AM and 11:45 PM daily.
