Passing through Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH), haggard and gritty-eyed from a long-haul flight? A new spa within Etihad’s lounge in Terminal A can help you refresh, with beauty treatments and massages available all day and night.
The spa marks the first time Etihad Airways has teamed up with Be Relax, the operator of nearly 40 stand-alone spas in airports around the world. Etihad says it has a shared vision with Be Relax, of wellness as a “cornerstone of the travel experience.”
It’s also the first time Be Relax has opened a space within an airport lounge, combining spa and lounge experiences.
So how will Etihad and Be Relax help you shake off those long, cramped hours on a plane? Imagine rejuvenating treatments with a gilding of Etihad luxury.
That includes chair and full-body massages, barber services, and hair and nail care. Sophrology sessions provided by Ressource Paris can help ease your body and mind through gentle exercise, meditation, creative visualization, and mindful breathing.
Even the showers contribute to your beauty regime. Experience Showers from UAE company BODYFUL infuse water with Vitamin C, benefiting your skin, hair, and nails.
The products used in all treatments are second to none. Facials employ anti-aging treatments from Maison Valmont, while body and haircare services are enhanced by Italian brand Philip Martin’s, renowned for its fragrances.
Spa treatments are complimentary for guests traveling in Etihad’s First Class or its extravagant suite, The Residence, a mini hotel room on its Airbus A380s.
Other departing and connecting travelers can drop it for paid treatments, even if they’re not flying with Etihad. No booking is required, and the treatments have flexible timing, so you’re sure to make your flight.
Incredibly, the spa is open 24/7, perfect for travelers stumbling off long flights at 3 a.m.
The spa is located within Etihad’s Business Class Lounge in Zayed International Airport’s sparkling new Terminal A. Specifically, it’s between concourses C and D, beside Gate C27.
Turky Al Hammadi, director of product and hospitality at Etihad Airways, said: “Whether departing from Abu Dhabi or connecting between two flights, we’re delighted to welcome our guests to enjoy the Be Relax Spa located at our premium Lounge.”
“When it comes to pampering, our partners, Be Relax are experts at creating an indulgent and rejuvenating spa experience. The services are flexibly timed to allow our guests to make the most of their time at the airport and arrive at their destination feeling relaxed and refreshed.”
Be Relax founder and CEO Frederic Briest added, “Our expertise in travel wellness combined with the premium Etihad Lounge sets the tone for a new chapter in Be Relax’s journey.
“As we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year, this project couldn’t have come at a better time. It not only opens new horizons for our brand but also showcases the future of travel wellness to the world.”
