The longevity-related places and products that business owners love the most

Entrepreneurs are excellent at figuring out systems, and for the past few years, one of the systems many of them have been obsessed with is longevity. Jeff Bezos and Larry Page have pledged hundreds of millions of dollars toward companies pursuing longer life. Multimillionaire biotech entrepreneur Bryan Johnson spends a reported $2 million a year on reverse-aging regimens that allegedly include hundreds of pills and 30 doctors. And medical professionals such as Andrew Huberman, Matthew Walker and Peter Attia have become actual influencers.
Still, not all entrepreneurs take their interest in longevity to the obsessive level. Many just embrace current trends—from jumping in 40-degree water and climbing into red-light saunas to donning wearables that track their sleep, steps, heart rate and more. Here is a guide to some of the longevity-related places and products that business owners love the most.
Tech
Somnee Sleep Tracker

What: A headband that you wear for 15 minutes before going to bed that’s four times as effective as melatonin and one-and-a-half times more effective than Ambien in terms of improving overall sleep quality.
How it works: The Somnee device maps your brain and then does a personalized stimulation of it to, in Somnee CEO Tim Rosa’s words, “nudge you to sleep.”
What makes it so popular: Somnee doesn’t just track your sleep but actually connects the data with how you feel physically, leaving you with far more accurate information than other wearables.
Who’s behind it: Matthew Walker helped develop the headband and Tim Rosa comes from Fitbit, where he helped the company grow to 128 million registered users.
Who uses it: Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff and Sun Microsystems cofounder Vinod Khosla are regular users (Khosla is also an investor in the company).
Where it’s going: “Somnee is actually going to be bigger than Fitbit because people want more accurate data sets,” says Rosa (who would know).

What: The love child of Soho House, Equinox and that chic acupuncture place you read about in a magazine, Remedy Place is, according to founder Dr. Jonathan Leary, “the world’s first social wellness club.” With outposts in West Hollywood and Manhattan, Remedy Place is elegant yet homey, with wooden slats, dark walls and industrial furniture. In addition to IV bars and an $11,900 foam roller, it offers ice baths, cryotherapy, meditation rooms, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, sauna and much more.
How: Membership rates start at $9,000 per year.
What makes it so popular: It’s the perfect combination of medicine (there are chiropractors
and acupuncturists on hand) with the more “woo-woo” forms of self-care popular today. It’s also a great hang with like-minded souls.
Who’s behind it: Leary made a name for himself as a concierge wellness doctor to Olympic
athletes, celebrities and corporate executives. He realized that those who aren’t professional athletes or celebrities could also treat their bodies like temples. “Every human may not be performing in a game,” Leary says, “but we’re all performing in life.”
Who uses it: More than one Kardashian, Rita Ora and snowboarder Shaun White.
Where it’s going: Plans are currently in place to open two additional locations a year. With self-care businesses projected to hit $8.5 trillion by 2027, maybe that’s an underestimation?
