From music festivals to art exhibits, here's what you can't miss in Monaco in 2024

Grimaldi Forum Monaco

Following the exhibition about the work of Claude Monet and his use of light, the Grimaldi Forum will dedicate its 2024 summer show to William Turner with an exhibition titled “Turner: a sublime heritage,” from July 6 – Sept. 1. Forty-odd oil paintings and as many watercolors will be shown alongside the works of contemporary artists to highlight the influence of the English artist’s approach to light and atmosphere.

Another year, another exhibition! The Oceanographic Museum is proud to present its latest permanent exhibition entitled “The Prince & the Mediterranean,” as part of commemorations marking the centenary of Prince Rainier III. Guided by the voice of none other than Princess Stéphanie, visitors are invited to step aboard the Deo Juvante II and navigate a course through a series of themed areas, showcasing the Prince’s passion for the sea. For the next two years, the Oceanographic Museum is also hosting a huge exhibition tracing more than a century of life in the Arctic and Antarctica: “Polar Mission”. The institution, which opened in 1911, has created an immersive experience that takes visitors on a five-stage journey to the poles, culminating in a vast 650 m² projection room that brings the beauty and fragility of the polar worlds to life like never before.

Monte-Carlo Summer Festival 2024

From July 6 to August 16, concerts and performances will come to life in two of Monaco’s most iconic venues: the Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo and the Salle des Étoiles, with its open-air roof. A succession of events, ranging from the legendary Stars 80 (in support of Fight Aids Monaco) to Trevor Noah, Sam Smith and the incredible pianist Diana Krall. Jamiroquai will be honored at the Monaco Red Cross Gala, while Duran Duran will make their grand return along with Myriam Farès, Il Volo, Ricky Martin and Lenny Kravitz, who will perform for two concerts in a standing configuration. A newcomer makes an appearance: Jorja Smith, for hip hop and R&B enthusiasts. This summer, they will all come together in the Principality under the artistic direction of Alfonso Ciulla. Summer concerts by OPMC

The Concerts at the Prince’s Palace in Monaco 2024 is a summer music festival featuring performances by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra. The concerts take place in the courtyard of the Prince’s Palace, a beautiful and historic setting. This year’s festival will take place on seven evenings between July 11 and August 8, 2024. The specific program for each concert has not been announced yet, but it will likely feature a mix of classical and contemporary works. Tickets for the concerts are typically go on sale in April.
