When supermodel Karolína Kurková isn’t striking poses, she enjoys active family-oriented trips. Among her tips for traveling with children? YumEarth lollipops for takeoff and landing and MiaMily’s seated rolling suitcase: “It’s multipurpose and elegant. You can’t tell it’s just for kids.” Kurková’s mother and grandmother influenced her passion for holistic living, and her brand, Gryph & IvyRose, offers natural products focused on preventative health. “People are more curious about what Mother Nature can offer, and how to use these ingredients kindly and wisely.” Here, her recent travels.

Nassau, Bahamas

“The Cove has so many pools available, and the ocean is super blue and clear so you can see different fishes. My kids love water and sea creatures. We snorkeled, swam with dolphins and sea lions, and learned about stingrays. There are so many cool activities that are very engaging for children. It was a great place for the whole family to be together and connect.”

“My kids love fly-fishing. It’s a great meditation—you need patience and there’s no instant gratification. We love to go in the summer. It’s different from our everyday life in Miami. My kids love the cold streams, and Aspen is very outdoorsy and active. We go to Lost Forest in Snowmass. They have zip-lining, dirt bikes and hiking. We’re a foodie family and there are great familiar restaurants from other cities, like Casa Tua and Matsuhisa.”

“I think of myself as a tourist—I’m always exploring. There’s so much history here, with great galleries and music. It’s a historical place, but with a booming youthful injection, especially from the students coming from abroad to study at universities. I love staying at Andaz Prague because it’s walking distance to activities without being too central. The hotel is in an old sugar factory, and they kept some of the original construction when they designed it.”

“It’s very international and family-focused. We do small boat excursions—you can get to Greece in one hour, and you can really explore the little islands around Turkey. When we’re there we do a lot of cooking at home. We love going to the local market. We buy tomatoes, cucumbers, peaches, watermelon and nectarines. My kids eat them like candy.”
