New Mexico-based Taos Air has partnered with hop-on jet service JSX to offer new, premium routes from the state to California and Texas.

Flights on the new routes will be sold under the brand name ‘Taos Air operated by JSX’, and will offer Texans and Californians the chance to fly in style to the winter resorts of Northern New Mexico this festive season and next spring.

The new routes being offered by Taos Air operated by JSX, which began on December 15 and will run until at least April 3, 2023, are:

  • Taos Regional Airport (SKX) to Austin International Airport (AUS)
  • Taos Regional Airport (SKX) to Dallas Love Field (DAL)
  • Taos Regional Airport (SKX) to Los Angeles-Burbank Airport (BUR)
  • Taos Regional Airport (SKX) to San Diego International Airport (SAN)

Passengers looking to hit the slopes will also be pleased to know that they can take all their ski and snowboard equipment with them at no extra charge. Taos Air operated by JSX, also offers a free shuttle service from Taos Airport to the Taos Ski Valley Resort.

In addition to being a popular winter sports destination, Taos has numerous attractions in its own right. Surrounded by the majestic landscape of the Rocky Mountains, the picturesque village offers intriguing arts and architecture. It even has its own UNESCO World Heritage—the indigenous settlement of Taos Pueblo.

Dallas-based JSX was founded in 2016 and styles itself as the ‘world’s only 5-star public charter. Passengers flying with JSX enjoy the luxury of flying on a 30-seat ‘private’ jet and a hassle-free travel experience from private terminals where you only need to check in up to 20 minutes before departure. Passengers can also expect free inflight WiFi, complimentary cocktails, and the ability to earn air miles with United Airlines and JetBlue.

Meanwhile, Taos Air, based in the New Mexican town of the same name (Taos), was founded in 2018 and claims to be the ‘Easiest Route to the Rockies’. The boutique charter service also promises to offset 100% of its carbon emissions, making for guilt-free travel.

“JSX has an excellent on-time and service track record and has proven itself to be an innovative leader in aviation, so we are thrilled they are joining our air carrier,” said Joe Zvada, Director of Aviation at Taos Air.

“Taos Air has always strived to deliver a first-class experience at an accessible rate. This evolution of our service will further deliver on our promise to be the Easiest Route to the Rockies for anyone coming from California or Texas.”

Alex Wilcox, CEO of JSX, was similarly excited about the new partnership with Taos Air. “Taos Air is a popular and convenient service for Customers in search of relaxing and efficient travel between Northern New Mexico and California or Texas, and we are proud to combine the JSX and Taos Air teams and services to offer an unmatched experience,” he said.
