Flights in Etihad’s premium cabins are about to become even more luxurious as the airline rolls out amenity kits and loungewear designed by Giorgio Armani.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier first collaborated with the Italian fashion house in 2022 on sleek tableware in its business class cabins. The companies are now extending their partnership to amenity kits and pajamas, which will be introduced to flights from the end of February.

Travelers in Etihad’s first class cabins and The Residence—a lavish three-room suite on its Airbus A380s—will receive Giorgio Armani and Etihad branded folio bags upon boarding.

Described as one of the largest amenity kits in the skies, the folios can comfortably fit travel documents, tablets, and even 13-inch laptops. They come in four colors, which Etihad encourages frequent flyers to collect and “build their personal Giorgio Armani collection.”

The kits are packed with luxury skincare brand ESPA products, including the Hydrating Spa Face Mist, Nourishing Lip Treatment, Restful Pulse Point Oil, Rest and Recovery Night Balm, and Rejuvenating Hand and Body lotion. Other goodies include eyeshades, earplugs, and a dental kit. These kits replaced the Acqua di Parma amenity bags Etihad has offered since 2018.

Travelers in first class and The Residence can also drift to sleep in Giorgio Armani-designed loungewear and slippers.

The loungewear is rendered in an anti-wrinkle fabric, with a charcoal tonal print inspired by the Abu Dhabi skyline and a Henley neckline. The slippers have a matching print and a cozy faux fur inner sole. The Armani-designed pajamas replace a previous set designed by Emirati brand A Friend of Mine.

Further back in the plane, business class guests have their pick of two unisex Armani-designed amenity kits. The clutch bag features “The Dunes,” a blue-toned print inspired by the rolling sands of Abu Dhabi’s Liwa desert. Alternatively, the cube-shaped bag is designed to be easily packed in suitcases or used for organization in drawers at home.

These kits also come with ESPA products, including a lip treatment, face mist, and hand and body lotion.

“As well as offering convenience, style, and luxury inflight, our guests will take home their own co-branded Giorgio Armani amenity bag for use when traveling or at home,” Turky Al Hammadi, Head of Product and Hospitality at Etihad, said.

For the first time in several years, Etihad also offers loungewear in business class. On flights of over nine hours, business class guests will be greeted with luxurious pajamas and slippers, designed in-house and paying tribute to traditional Emirati dress with V-shaped stitching on the chest.

The reintroduction of loungewear for business class travelers draws Etihad to level with its competitors in the Gulf. Qatar Airways has long offered pajamas in its Qsuites, while Emirates debuted loungewear sets for business-class guests earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Etihad is also revamping its amenity kits for economy class passengers. Budget travelers will receive sustainable tote bags with essentials, including hand cream, eyeshades, and earplugs on flights longer than six hours to make their journeys easier.

Each tote bag is made from a 500ml PET bottle salvaged from a landfill and features a design matching the tailfins of Etihad planes. The tote bags come in three colors, matching Etihad’s new livery and its Greenliner and Manchester City variants.
