Nine daily flights offer late-day departures from JFK to Charles de Gaulle and Orly

Air France and Delta Air Lines are partnering to boost frequencies on their services between New York and Paris. Billed by the airlines as a “shuttle,” the carriers offer nine daily flights from John F. Kennedy International to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris-Orly Airport starting in the late afternoon.

The returns depart from the two Paris airports every one or two hours during the day.

Air France will operate one daily flight to Orly and six daily flights between JFK and Charles de Gaulle, adding Friday and Saturday late night New York departures to its current schedule.

The Air France service will be operated by Boeing 777-300s and Airbus A350s. Delta will operate two daily flights between JFK and Charles de Gaulle with Airbus A330s.

All nine flights offer at least three classes of service. The Delta flights will offer Delta One, the airline’s premium cabin experience featuring lie-flat beds; and Delta Premium Select, the airline’s premium economy cabin, “and/or Comfort+” according to a company statement, in addition to economy class seating.

Delta One features lie-flat beds, artisan made amenity kits from Someone Somewhere with sustainable products from Grown Alchemist and eco-conscious bedding.

All Air France flights will offer at least Business Class, Premium Economy and main cabin seats. In addition, three of the daily Air France flights will also offer La Premiere suites, the airline’s first-class service. Each suite has a wide seat that transforms into a lie-flat bed, with Michelin-starred menus and a wide choice of entertainment.

The transatlantic partners’ boost in New York-Paris service points to a resurgence in international air travel this summer, with Air France operating nearly 200 weekly flights from 14 US gateways, a 20 percent increase over the carrier’s schedule in summer 2019.

In addition to the daily New York JFK to Paris Orly flights, the airline has also recently resumed its Dallas-Fort Worth and Denver routes.

Delta offers the most transatlantic service from both New York JFK and Boston. The carrier operates up to 27 daily flights to 20 European destinations from JFK this summer, including restarting pre-COVID service to Zurich, Brussels, Edinburgh, Copenhagen, and Prague.

From Boston, Delta is operating up to nine daily flights to nine transatlantic destinations this summer, offering more capacity compared to summer 2019.
