AA Launches Quarantine-free Flights to Milan and Rome
After a year of suspension, the airline reopens lines this week from JFK to FCO and MXP
American Airlines has announced plans for quarantine-free flights from New York JFK to both Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino.
The carrier’s services to both cities had been suspended for a year, but daily B777-200 flights to Milan resumed on April 4, to be followed by a three times weekly service to Rome on May 8.
To be eligible for quarantine-free travel customers will need to present negative Covid-19 test results prior to departure, as well as a negative test on arrival into Milan or Rome.
The news follows similar plans announced by Delta for quarantine-free flights between the same cities, which were due to launch at the start of April.
In addition AA is providing access to more preflight Covid-19 testing options, with a partnership with GoHealth Urgent Care adding over 150 facilities, including centers close to the carrier’s hubs in Charlotte and New York.
