Yoga Artist Andrew Sealy Partners with Costa Rica SCP Lodge

World-renowned yoga artist Andrew Sealy has partnered with Soul Community Planet (SCP) Hotels for retreats focused on meditation routines, transformative yoga, and connecting with the local environment. The first retreat—open to 20 guests—is slated for January 11 through 16, 2024 at the SCP Corcovado Wilderness Lodge, in Costa Rica’s lush and biodiverse Osa Peninsula.

The retreat comes on the heels of a number of recent enhancements to the 170-acre, rainforest-adjacent property. The lodge sits above a palm-dotted beach on the edge of Corcovado National Park, with sweeping tropical garden vistas. Its grounds include an all-new Rainforest Village with private villas and suites as well as ocean-view bungalows tucked on a bluff overlooking the water. A true secluded paradise, the lodge is only accessible by boat.

Among the renovations to the broader resort are new solar panels to provide sustainable power on-property; a yoga shala with sweeping ocean vistas; a grassy, ocean-view amphitheater for select events; and the new Terra Kitchen restaurant showcasing organic produce grown on the grounds.

Core to any SCP stay is a holistic approach to wellness, plant-centric meals and its signature Peaceful Rooms, meticulously designed to ensure a quality night’s sleep. For the retreats with Sealy—dubbed the “SCP x Andrew 7 Sealy Elements” experience—there will be daily yoga and meditation classes as well as special seminars and workshops focused on nutrition and health.

Retreat programming will include flowering orchid tours, bird watching, herbal gardening, scuba diving, and arboreal experiences. On the culinary front, the focus is on locally sourced, seasonally grown ingredients and menus which may be altered to accommodate any individual dietary needs.

Beyond the January retreat, SCP plans to have at least one more retreat at its Corcovado Wilderness Lodge in 2024 and biannually thereafter. Rates start at $6,700 per person for six-day, five-night stays. Group and buyout rates may be offered contingent on availability.
