Study at the University of Chicago

Located in Hyde Park, the third property in the Study Hotels brand portfolio is set to open in the fall

The Study Hotel at University of Chicago is set to open in fall 2021 in the Windy City’s Hyde Park neighborhood.

The 167-room property features feature nine signature study units and a complement of suites, a tavern/restaurant, a light-filled Winter Garden, and 4,700 square feet of conference space.

All guest rooms will feature feather-topped beds, Frette linens and towels and modern bathrooms with C.O. Bigelow toiletries. Complimentary amenities include wireless high-speed Internet and bottled water.

The hotel’s Living Room (the space formerly known as a lobby) will provide daily periodicals plus publications featuring University of Chicago authors and scholars. A postcard writing desk will encourage guests to connect with friends and family – and the hotel will take care of postage.

The hotel is designed to work in tandem with the adjacent Rubenstein Forum (a new university facility) and the newly renovated Keller Center.

It’s the third hotel for the brand by New York-based developer Hospitality 3. Study hotels are now open at Yale in New Haven, CT, and at University City in Philadelphia, PA. The fourth Study Hotel is in the planning stages at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD.
