Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Unveils Renovations
Following a $20 million update, the 528-room property features a redesigned lobby and a new executive floor
Intercontinental Hotels Group has announced the completion of a $20 million renovation project at the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport. The 528-room property, owned and operated by Toronto-based Manga Hotels, now features new interior design and an executive floor on the upper levels.
The external façade of the property have seen structural enhancements while inside, the updated lobby now offers a grab-and-go marketplace, modern fireplace and new business center.
Food and beverage options also include the Cannery Kitchen and Social outlet by award-winning chef Tony Fernandes, which now has an updated seating area for 200 guests and a menu featuring a “fresh and healthy take on Canadian food favorites.”
All rooms and bathrooms have been redesigned and half of the hotel’s rooms offer king-sized beds with walk-in showers.
Leisure amenities include an enhanced gym with modern workout equipment from the Life Fitness brand, including Bluetooth speakers, and the hotel’s indoor pool has also been renovated.
The property’s Algonquin Ballroom and meeting spaces feature state-of-the-art AV equipment with digital screens, surround sound audio, web camera for virtual calls and theatrical lighting.
“The hotel is one of the largest airport hotels in the market and now, the most modern,” said Sukhdev Toor, president of Manga Hotels. “The renovation and undertaking of this new look and design was extensive and the results are amazing.”
