Qatar Announces Two New Partnerships

Qatar Airways announces two new partnerships.

The first – takes place October 5- 6, 2018 at Mondrian Doha where the airline is named as the Official Airline Partner for Fashion Weekend International 2018 (FWI2018).  

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “The iconic Fashion Weekend International 2018 is all set to kick-off this weekend, and we are thrilled to be the Official Airline Partner for this stylish event. Qatar couldn’t be a more perfect destination for an event of this calibre, as the State continues to embrace an all-encompassing ambience for culture, couture and fashion.

“We are also honoured to be flying many of the celebrities to Doha, especially as we have recently introduced our revolutionary and stylish Qsuite Business Class seat on our very popular Mumbai and Bengaluru routes. We not only look forward to warmly welcoming the attendees at this event, but we also look forward to flying the show’s entourage in style from around the world to witness this unforgettable show, and to indulge in Qatar’s welcoming hospitality and culture.”

The second partnership marks the first multi-year deal with an NBA team and arena.  The airline has become the Official Global Airline Partner of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and the team’s home, Barclay’s Center, in Brooklyn, New York.  

The agreement states, Barclays Center’s Courtside Club will become the Qatar Airways Club, and the airline will also receive branding on all courtside seats.
