Marriott’s Autograph Collection Debuts in Paris

The precious boutique property sits in the heart of the city’s most exclusive shopping streets

The Autograph Collection, Marriott International’s distinctive line of independent properties, now adds Hotel Banke to its portfolio as the first of the collection to be found in Paris and the fourth property to open in France.

Fitting well into the one-of-a-kind line branding that Autograph promotes, Hotel Banke joins with a five-star sheen and 91 guest rooms and suites. The property also features a French-Indochina dining venue called The Josefin, cocktail venue tabbed Le Bar, a fitness center, and six meeting rooms as well as the Salle des Coffres housing 460 of the former bank’s vaults.

The hotel’s location at Rue La Fayette and Rue Pillet puts guests in the heart of the Parisian Opera district, steps away from Galeries Lafayette, considered to be the at the center of the city’s most exclusive shopping attractions, and just a kilometer away from the Louvre Museum. The hotel building was once the former headquarters of Crédit Commercial de France, designed by architects Paul Friesé and Cassien Bernard in styles marking the grand Belle Époque period.

John Licence, VP Premium & Select Brands Europe at Marriott International, said in a statement: “We are delighted to expand our offering of one-of-a-kind hotels to Paris with Hotel Banke. With its unique heritage as a former bank headquarters and stunning design, Hotel Banke perfectly embodies Autograph Collection Hotel’s independent spirit.”
