Lufthansa Launches New Flights from Austin, Texas

Lufthansa launched new non-stop service this month between Austin and the airline’s Frankfurt hub. Flight LH468 now departs Frankfurt Airport at 10 am local time and touches down at Austin’s Bergstrom International Airport at 2:05 pm local time. The eastbound flight LH469 departs the Texas capital at 4 pm local time, as the third gateway and destination served by Lufthansa in Texas.

The new service uses the Airbus A330-300 in a three-class cabin configuration. The aircraft includes 42 Business Class, 28 Premium Economy and 185 Economy Class seats to accommodate a total of 255 passengers. Arriving in Frankfurt, passengers can connect to over 1,300 destinations worldwide through Lufthansa Group carriers and Star Alliance partners.

The new Austin service is now operating five times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. As Lufthansa already provides daily service to Dallas and Houston, the addition of Austin gives the German carrier’s customers access to the state’s largest metropolitan areas.
