Kempinski and Peloton Partner with In-Room Bikes

Guests can live stream classes as specially-developed software keeps multiple users’ data secure

Kempinski Hotels and fitness company Peloton have partnered to offer in-room exercise bikes at the hotel brand’s properties across Germany. Depending on availability, guests will be able to stream live cycling and fitness classes from the Peloton Studios in New York and London or watch them on-demand.

The partnership was rolled out this summer at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin and has now been expanded to Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich, Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden and the Kempinski Hotels in Frankfurt Gravenbruch and in Berchtesgaden.

The bikes have software which has been specially developed for the commercial sector to ensure data security of multiple users is guaranteed. The bikes are also equipped with double-sided pedals, so guests can either use their own SPD-compatible cycling shoes (which click into the pedal) or ride with sports shoes in the toe cages.

Peloton’s bikes are already available in numerous hotels across the US, Canada and the UK. For a list of participating properties, visit the Peloton Hotel Finder.

“Today more than ever, our guests want to maintain and improve their fitness even when travelling or staying in a hotel and take advantage of the opportunity to continue their regular “home” training in their hotel room,” said Benedikt Jaschke, chief quality officer and member of Kempinski Hotels management board. “With Peloton we found the right partner to push our ‘Keep your Fitness Promise’ initiative around the well-being of our guests to a higher level.”
