The airline has served the LA area for over 70 years and have over 7,300 employees based in the area.  The destruction by the wildfires has had an impact across the team.

At this time the Red Cross has requested monetary donation to assist those in need – supporting shelters, food, relief and health services.  To incent AAdvantage  members, the airline will give 10 miles for every dollar donated to the Red Cross with a minimum $25 donation.

Visit the Red Cross website to donate now.

During the past two months, American has worked to support the areas impacted by Hurricanes Florence and Michael.  Almost $400,000 was donated through the website from employees and customers.  In addition, team members have volunteered to create hygiene comfort kits with soap, deodorant, towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste and more for the Red Cross to distribute.
