Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is launching 28 new routes spanning 17 countries this summer, the largest-ever summer expansion of its global flight network.

Most of SAS’s new routes will be out of Copenhagen (CPH), strengthening the Danish capital’s position as a growing international hub, while the airline’s secondary hubs of Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) and Oslo (OSL) will welcome the addition of three new routes each.

While the vast majority of the new services will connect passengers to destinations across Europe, two new transatlantic routes will link Copenhagen and Oslo to Seattle (SEA) and New York (JFK), respectively, while new flights to Beirut (BEY), Nuuk (GOH), and Seoul (ICN) from Copenhagen, as well as from Stockholm to Beirut, have also been confirmed.

In addition to its 28 new routes, SAS is increasing frequencies on several popular routes, including services to Berlin (BER), Florence (FLR), Prague (PRG), and Toronto (YYZ).

SAS Upgrades Capacity

The Scandinavian carrier will offer 23 million seats for the summer 2025 travel season—around 2.2 million more than it offered last summer. It will serve 122 destinations from Copenhagen alone this year.

“This summer program represents an important milestone for SAS as we embark on our largest summer expansion ever, introducing 28 new routes and significantly increasing capacity to 23 million seats,” said Henrik Winell, Vice President of Network at SAS.

“By broadening our network and optimizing travel options, we will provide our customers with unparalleled access to destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East, while continuing to consolidate Copenhagen’s role as a European world-class travel hub.”
