JetBlue has launched a new inflight entertainment (IFE) platform called “Blueprint by JetBlue,” which offers passengers more personalized and customizable entertainment options. This platform aims to provide an experience similar to how customers consume streaming content at home.

Passengers can create a user profile that is accessible across different flights with Blueprint. Once logged into their TrueBlue account, they can access the array of new features JetBlue offers.

One of the standout features of Blueprint is the ‘watch party’ feature, fostering a sense of connection among passengers. This feature allows up to six customers to enjoy the same movie, show, or documentary simultaneously. Streaming controls such as ‘play’ and ‘pause’ can be managed by any member of the party, with all viewers’ screens synchronized.

Moreover, Blueprint provides content recommendations based on a user’s previous viewing history. Passengers can save their favorite shows and ones to watch, allowing them to curate a list to watch on future flights.

Additionally, passengers can save their settings and preferences, such as volume, parental controls, language, and subtitles, and Blueprint will remember them from flight to flight.

JetBlue has also modified its IFE personalization feature, which was introduced a few years ago. Previously, a passenger’s full name would be displayed on their screen once they logged into their TrueBlue account. However, passengers can now choose what they refer to on their travel profile.

“JetBlue has always been an innovator as the first to have seatback screens and fast, free, and unlimited Wi-Fi on every aircraft,” said JetBlue’s Head of Marketing and Customer Support, Jayne O’Brien.

“By launching Blueprint by JetBlue, we are doubling down on our commitment to help customers create an inflight experience tailored to their needs and preferences, making their flight as comfortable as their own living rooms.”

JetBlue’s IFE options have long been heralded by patrons, with many considering the New York-based airline as best-in-class regarding sky-high content. Blueprint further highlights their prowess on this front.
