JetBlue is expanding its footprint at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL), adding new routes, more flights, and increased Mint availability.

The South Floridian airport has long been an important base for JetBlue, being one of its very first destinations when it launched operations back in 2000. Since then, the airline has significantly expanded its operations at FLL, which serves as a key gateway to destinations across the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Increased Daily Departures

With an average of 72 daily departures to 31 different destinations on offer this summer, JetBlue is now set to substantially increase its presence there, with daily departures set to grow to 95 by December, connecting passengers to 37 cities across multiple regions.

“Fort Lauderdale has long been a key market for JetBlue, and we’re excited to keep growing with the region,” said Dave Jehn, vice president of network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue.

“With new routes, more flights and the expansion of our award-winning Mint experience on more trips, and the best crewmembers in the business, we’re continuing to offer more reasons for South Florida travelers to choose JetBlue.”

New and Returning Routes

Beginning on December 4, 2025, JetBlue will launch new flights from Fort Lauderdale to both Norfolk (ORF) and Tampa (TPA). Services to Norfolk are scheduled to run five times per week, while flights to Tampa will be operated daily.

It is also adding flights to Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) and Atlanta (ATL) on November 20 and December 4, respectively – two routes that the airline has previously operated. Flights to Austin will be offered twice daily, while flights to Atlanta will operate daily.

Enhanced Mint Experience

In addition to these new and returning routes, JetBlue is adding additional flights on five existing routes out of FLL, three of which will include its coveted Mint business class seats.

Beginning on October 26, an additional daily Mint flight will be operated to both Las Vegas (LAS) and Phoenix (PHX), increasing frequencies to three daily and two daily, respectively. Then, on November 21, it will add an extra Mint flight to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), taking total operations between FLL and LAX to six flights per day.

“We’re excited to add more Mint to popular routes from Fort Lauderdale and continue building on its success,” added Jehn. “Mint is a reimagined premium experience that offers a different level of comfort, privacy, and hospitality. Our customers appreciate the difference, and we’re confident these expanded Mint routes will be a compelling option for travelers looking to elevate their journey.”

Also on October 26, JetBlue is doubling its frequency from one daily flight to two, operating between FLL and both Raleigh-Durham (RDU) and Richmond (RIC). However, the Mint experience won’t be available on these additional flights.

“As a longtime FLL air service partner, we applaud JetBlue’s plans to add Tampa and Norfolk to our airport’s route map and resume flights to Atlanta and Austin,” said Mark Gale, CEO and Director of Aviation at FLL.

“Additionally, the increased daily frequency on select high-demand U.S. routes this fall and the expanding availability of its Mint premium experience will all benefit FLL travelers.”
