Emirates is launching flights to three new Asian cities this summer as it looks to capitalize on the growing popularity of certain destinations.
Beginning on June 1, the airline will launch daily nonstop flights between Dubai (DXB) and Shenzhen (SZX), becoming the first Middle Eastern airline to operate a direct link to China’s booming technological hub.
The airline will use its newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to operate the route, with a total capacity of 332 passengers across four classes, including its new Premium Economy cabin, which was introduced last year.

“We remain committed to offering business and leisure travelers unparalleled access to Southeast Asia and the broader East Asia region by delivering an extensive flight schedule,” said Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates.
“Our expansion into Shenzhen opens new doors for business and economic exchange between this technological powerhouse and global markets. As we prepare to launch operations, we extend our gratitude to the Chinese authorities and airport partners for their ongoing support and are committed to ensuring this route’s success while fostering cultural bonds and unlocking future economic potential.”
Da Nang, Vietnam
Following the addition of its Shenzhen service, Emirates will launch four weekly flights to Da Nang (DAD) in Vietnam via Bangkok (BKK) on June 2.

“Vietnam holds a strategic place in our Southeast Asia network,” said Kazim. “Our decision to expand operations to Da Nang as our third point in Vietnam comes at an opportune moment, following the landmark Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam.
“We are confident that our new service will elevate the existing bilateral trade and commercial collaboration between our nations. We extend our gratitude to our local partners and Da Nang International Airport for their support.”
Siem Reap, Cambodia
Finally, starting on June 3, Emirates will launch three weekly flights between Dubai and Siem Reap-Angkor (SAI) in Cambodia, also via Bangkok.
Both the Da Nang and Cambodia services will be operated with Emirates’ two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which have a total capacity for 421 passengers – 35 in Business Class and 386 in Economy.

“Emirates is also making it easier for travelers to connect to Siem Reap, home to Angkor Wat, one of Cambodia’s most popular destinations with its incredible ancient wonders and natural beauty,” said Kazim.
“With the addition of these new gateways, we’re strengthening our links, giving customers more choices, offering an unparalleled onboard experience, and ensuring seamless and convenient connections to and from China’s largest cities, Vietnam’s emerging economic and leisure hubs, and Cambodia’s touristic treasures.”
Bogota and Miami go Premium
In addition to the new Asian destinations, Emirates announced that its new Premium Economy cabin will debut on flights to Bogota, its latest destination in South America. These flights, which include a stop in Miami, operate on the carrier’s four-class 777-300ER aircraft.

The Premium Economy cabin offers 19.5-inch-wide seats upholstered in cream leather, enhanced by a 6-way adjustable headrest for additional comfort. Passengers can enjoy a generous 38-inch seat pitch, with the ability to recline 8 inches for a more relaxed experience.
Currently, the airline says 15 upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft have been put into service, flying to destinations including Geneva, Zurich, Brussels, Haneda, Riyadh, Kuwait, Dammam, Vienna, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Newark, and Boston, along with the new routes to Bogota and Miami.
