Condor Airlines, the German leisure carrier, has launched its first flight from Frankfurt to Miami International Airport (MIA), marking a significant expansion of its North American network for the peak spring and summer travel season.

Miami joins the ranks of Condor’s year-round service destinations, such as New York-JFK, Seattle, and Toronto. The airline now operates from 18 North American cities to Frankfurt, Germany.

Condor plans to connect travelers from these cities to over 100 destinations throughout Europe and beyond this summer, and it is also launching nonstop flights to San Antonio, Texas, in May.

Condor’s new Airbus A330neo jets, with their iconic striped livery, will operate three times a week to Miami on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

“It is with great pleasure that we introduce Condor and our new A330neo product into the Sunshine State,” said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor. “The demand for our new nonstop out of MIA into the heart of Europe has been so strong that we are pleased to extend what was originally to be a seasonal route into a year-round operation.”

“This provides both European-bound American travelers as well as German vacationers coming to South Florida with an affordable and convenient year-round flight that will also have a positive impact on the local Miami economy,” added Gerber.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava echoes this sentiment, hailing Condor’s decision to select MIA as its exclusive Florida hub. “We are thrilled that Condor has chosen Miami International Airport for its only service in the state of Florida and its newest route in the U.S.,” she said. “We proudly welcome these nonstop flights to Frankfurt, which provide even more exciting travel options between Miami-Dade County and Germany.”

Condor’s new Airbus A330neos are equipped with a Business Class that offers full lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, ensuring direct aisle access for all passengers.

With seats converting into spacious beds measuring 78 inches in length and 19 inches in width, travelers can indulge in restful slumber or catch up on the latest entertainment offerings on expansive 17.3-inch 4K screens.

San Antonio is Up Next

But Condor’s news doesn’t end in Miami. The German carrier will inaugurate flights to San Antonio International Airport as part of its seasonal network on May 17. Business Traveler will report live from the event and fly to Frankfurt onboard the airline’s new Airbus A330neos.

Overall, Condor will operate from a total of 18 North American cities to Frankfurt this summer, including New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), Seattle (SEA), San Francisco (SFO), Toronto (YYZ), Boston (BOS), Baltimore (BWI), Vancouver (YYZ), Portland (PDX), Minneapolis (MSP), Las Vegas (LAS), Phoenix (PHX), Calgary (YYC), Edmonton (YEG), Halifax (YHZ), Anchorage (ANC), and San Antonio (SAT).
