Travelers flying out of Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) and San Diego (SAN) have something new to look forward to as Chase Sapphire opens its latest lounges in partnership with The Club.
Offering a blend of luxury, local flair, and tailored comforts, these new spaces aim to redefine the airport lounge experience for Sapphire Reserve cardmembers and select Priority Pass users.
New Lounge at Sky Harbor
Opening on November 12, the Chase Sapphire Lounge at PHX blends modern luxury with Arizona-inspired charm. Nestled in Terminal 4 South 1 (S1) Concourse, the lounge offers panoramic views of the bustling tarmac through its ribbon window, creating a space where travelers can relax and watch planes come and go.
Inside, a striking centerpiece bar serves craft cocktails alongside stylish seating areas. Guests can also enjoy a unique “patio” space on the airport concourse for a taste of the outdoors.
A notable highlight is the retrofitted Airstream food truck, featuring a curated menu by Phoenix’s acclaimed restaurant, The Larder & the Delta.
Coffee enthusiasts can savor specialty brews from Arizona-based Press Coffee, while wine lovers can indulge in selections curated by Parcelle, a renowned wine retailer.
Adding to the unique touch, Arizona artist Timmy Ham (SLOTH) has created custom-painted license plates for the Airstream and an exclusive luggage tag for visiting Reserve cardmembers, reflecting the Southwest’s dramatic landscapes.
SoCal Style in San Diego
Scheduled to open on December 6, the Chase Sapphire Lounge at San Diego International Airport’s Terminal 2 will embody the essence of Southern California. With surfboards designed by local muralist Hanna Daly and a digital wall showcasing breathtaking drone footage of the San Diego coastline, visitors will instantly feel connected to the city’s beach culture.
Spanning over 10,000 square feet, the lounge features a wellness area with private rest pods, on-demand digital meditations led by Devi Brown, and rejuvenating facial treatments from Face Haus.
The lounge’s culinary offerings include a la carte dishes from Oscars Mexican Seafood, known for its fresh and flavorful San Diego specialties, and coffee by California’s Groundwork Coffee.
Wine selections curated by Parcelle add a sophisticated touch to the experience.
Las Vegas Sapphire Reserve Lounge Pop-Up
Chase is also bringing an exclusive pop-up lounge experience to Las Vegas. Opening on November 16 at ARIA Resort & Casino, the limited-time Sapphire Reserve Lounge will feature food from celebrated restaurant Momofuku and cocktails crafted by the renowned speakeasy, Apotheke.
“Our openings in Phoenix and San Diego, in addition to our expansion in locations where our customers live and travel, continue to deliver on our goal of providing a highly sought-after benefit,” said Dana Pouwels, Head of Airport Lounge Benefits at Chase.
A Growing Network of Luxury Lounges
These new additions join Chase’s recently opened Sapphire Lounge locations in New York JFK Terminal 4, at LaGuardia’s brand-new Terminal B, and at Boston Logan (BOS), as well as a partnership offering access to the Etihad Airways Lounge in Washington, D.C. (IAD).
Looking ahead, Chase plans to open lounges in Philadelphia (PHL) in early 2025, Las Vegas (LAS) in mid-2025, and Los Angeles (LAX) in the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
Eligible Chase Sapphire Reserve, J.P. Morgan Reserve, and Ritz-Carlton Credit Card members enjoy complimentary access to the lounges, with the option to bring guests. Non-Chase Priority Pass members can access the lounges once per calendar year before a $75 entry fee applies.
In a contrasting development, the Chase Sapphire Terrace in Austin (AUS) will no longer be operated by Chase starting in March 2025. This change marks a shift in the availability and amenities of the space. Following this transition, the Terrace is expected to become a public area, which may result in the discontinuation of complimentary drinks and snacks for visitors.
The future design and functionality of the space remain uncertain, as no definitive plans have been shared regarding its post-Chase operation. According to documents prepared for a November 13, 2024, meeting of the AUS Airport Advisory Commission, the airport plans to explore ways to enhance visibility and amenities at this location once it becomes accessible to all travelers.
Whether Chase will pursue a new lounge at AUS is currently unknown.
Here is an updated list of the new openings and closings of Chase Sapphire Lounge locations across the country:
