Alaska Airlines has launched a new subscription program that offers its passengers early access to flight sales and other cost-saving tools, such as monthly Wi-Fi vouchers.

Dubbed Alaska Access, the new subscription service was launched on March 20 and costs just $5 per month, providing those who sign up with exclusive perks and benefits designed to help them save money while traveling with Alaska Airlines.

Alaska Access provides its members with three primary benefits. First, members will have early access to flight sales—they will be notified of any significant sales on flights through the mobile app a night before the fares drop, giving them the advantage of securing limited seats before the general public, and they can take advantage of great deals on offer.

Next, members will be provided with a personalized fare page, which allows them to plan their next trip better and find the best-value flights. The personalized fare page will display Alaska’s cheapest flights—by money and miles—across its global network and to over 500 destinations.

Finally, passengers who sign up for the service will immediately receive a Wi-Fi voucher code and another each month after that date, which can be used to access high-speed satellite Wi-Fi on any Alaska Airlines flight. Currently, prices vary for in-flight Wi-Fi depending on the flight and aircraft used, but they range from $8 to $24.99. So, for those who fly regularly, getting a one-time voucher code each month for just $5 per month is great value for money.

“We know time is valuable for our guests who are busy balancing a lot in their lives, and we kept that in mind when we developed Alaska Access,” said Shane Jones, vice president of business development at Alaska Airlines.

“Alaska Access is part of our commitment to make travel more affordable and convenient for everyone – whether planning for your dream vacation or returning home from college. Our new subscription service allows you to discover some of our best deals of the year right at your fingertips, in just minutes.”

This is not Alaska Airlines’ first subscription service. Flight Pass, launched in 2022, offers subscribers access to a pre-determined number of Alaska Airlines flights between 15 destinations across California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. Members can get six roundtrips per year for just $49 per month, 12 trips for $99, or 24 trips for $189 per month.
