Air Tahiti Nui, the flag carrier of French Polynesia, is launching a 25-hour flash sale to honor its upcoming 25th anniversary.

The airline will offer a 25% discount on bookings for a five-night stay at a luxurious waterfront hotel on the island of Tahiti, including round-trip airfare. The flash sale will last 25 hours, starting March 25.

Air Tahiti Nui notes that reservations for this special sale are available as soon as May 1, 2023, allowing travelers to anticipate the busy summer crowds to one of the world’s most sought-after tropical destinations.

The Tahitian airline launched operations on November 20, 1998, with a fleet of four-engined Airbus A340-300s. Today, it runs a fleet of four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, connecting Papeete with Los Angeles, Seattle, Auckland, Sydney, Tokyo, Osaka, and Paris.

New Flights to Paris

Starting this summer, the airline will launch nonstop year-round flights from its newest U.S. gateway at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle, complementing its existing flights from Los Angeles to the French mainland.

Launching on June 13, Air Tahiti Nui will connect Seattle and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport two times every week. Adding to the five weekly flights the Tahitian carrier offers via Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Air Tahiti Nui will now provide its customers with seven weekly flights to France via the two U.S. gateways.

According to the airline’s managing director, Matthieu Bechonnet, the route’s upgrade from seasonal to year-round is happening because of the “great response” the airline has gotten from the market. Air Tahiti Nui will be the only carrier to offer nonstop flights between French Polynesia, Seattle, and Paris.

With the introduction of this new route, the airline will offer seven weekly flights to Paris through SEA or LAX, adding to a total of 13 rotations every week. To make this possible, Air Tahiti Nui is reducing its current LAX-CDG flights from seven to five rotations, allowing SEA to grasp the other two.

Winning Streak

Ahead of its 25th-anniversary celebrations, Air Tahiti Nui was recognized for its outstanding wines by winning two Gold Medals at the annual Cellars in the Sky Awards organized by Business Traveller.

The French Polynesian flag carrier won the Gold Medal in both the Business Class Sparkling and Business Class Rosé categories for its Champagne Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve NV and its 2021 Château des Demoiselles from Côtes de Provence, respectively.
