Air France is taking its inflight entertainment to new heights on long-haul flights following the recent introduction of its upgraded cabins in Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.

The airline has doubled its ‘World cinema’ category to cater to international passengers’ expectations, now offering over 370 films. New themed categories, such as ‘Cinema loves Paris’ and ‘Festival de Cannes,’ have been introduced to help customers discover movies shot in the French capital and enjoy films featured at the prestigious film festival, of which Air France has been a longtime partner.

Passengers can also immerse themselves in a ‘superhero summer’ section, exploring the adventures of their favorite characters.

Air France has made a significant addition to its in-flight entertainment (IFE) options by offering a range of Disney titles, which includes movies and series from popular franchises like Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.

With 26 films and nine series in its IFE catalog, Air France has expanded its series offering to include titles from Canal+, HBO, TF1, and FranceTV. Additionally, the airline has reintroduced games to its IFE program, with ten popular options such as Angry Birds, Monopoly, and Tetris.

Overall, the upgraded ‘soft product’ offers access to 1,500 hours of on-demand entertainment on state-of-the-art platforms onboard Air France’s recently introduced long-haul cabins.

The New IFE Product

The French carrier’s new IFE product features 4K-quality anti-glare screens with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing passengers to use their personal headphones.

The airline is also introducing a new touch-sensitive visual interface on its 33,000 screens, accessible in 12 languages, making it easier for passengers to select their preferred programs.

The new cabins have already been introduced on 12 Boeing 777-300ERs and the latest among 21 Airbus A350-900s. All 20 yet-to-be-delivered A350s will feature these enhanced cabins while existing ones in the fleet will undergo retrofitting.

In Business Class, Air France has chosen the Stelia Aerospace seat, which boasts a 20-inch 4K Ultra High-Definition anti-glare screen, the largest in any Business Class cabin across Air France’s long-haul fleet.

According to the airline, USB-A and USB-C ports and wireless induction chargers are also provided. Passengers can now connect their devices to the screen via Wi-Fi, using it as a remote control while browsing the entertainment catalog or viewing the interactive map.

Premium Economy and Economy Class cabins are equipped with Collins Aerospace and Safran seats, each fitted with a 13.3-inch 4K Ultra High-Definition anti-glare screen featuring Bluetooth connectivity. Passengers in these cabins can also connect their devices to the in-seat screen.

All passengers across cabins have access to Air France Connect, the company’s in-flight Wi-Fi service, which offers three types of passes, including a complimentary option allowing customers to send and receive messages and access flight-related information.

Strengthening its North American Network

Air France is gearing up for an enhanced service to North America during the upcoming winter season. With plans to operate up to 212 weekly flights to 21 destinations in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, the airline is adding Raleigh Durham in the USA to its list of cities served.

This expansion further reinforces Air France’s commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for its passengers on long-haul journeys.
