Premium travelers at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) have a brand-new spot to grab a coffee before their flight, as Air Canada has opened a new, exclusive café lounge for eligible passengers.
The 2,700-square-foot space, which has enough seating for 58 guests, officially opened its doors on March 22. Conveniently located near Gate A2 in the domestic departures area, Montréal’s Air Canada Café provides an ideal opportunity for premium passengers to grab a quick snack or beverage or unwind before their flight.

Business travelers are also catered to in the new space, as the seating was designed with productivity in mind, and each of the 58 seats offers a USB-C charging port.
Culinary Delights and Local Brews
Curated food options include iconic Montréal snacks, such as bagels and smoked meat sandwiches, and grab-and-go selections like warm pistachio cream croissants, mini cheese boards, and vegetarian wraps.
Meanwhile, a self-service beverage station includes locally brewed beer, cider, kombucha, and other non-alcoholic choices, along with Lavazza specialty coffee and nitro cold brew.

“We’ve created a premium experience tailored to the needs of our busiest customers, while celebrating the essence of Montréal’s vibrant café culture,” said Jacqueline Harkness, Managing Director of Product & Services at Air Canada.
“Every detail of the Air Canada Café is designed for productivity and comfort, bringing together efficiency with the warmth and energy that make it a beloved product amongst our customers.”
Celebrating Montréal’s Café Culture
The new café was designed in collaboration with Montréal-based designer Provencher Roy and is influenced by the city’s ‘third wave’ coffee culture. It also features abstract artwork from local artist Melanie Authier, while the hanging light fixtures were designed and manufactured in the Quebec area.
“Our collaboration with Air Canada on the Montréal concept for Air Canada Café is one that we’re particularly proud of,” said Vincent Hauspy, Partner and Designer at Provencher Roy. “This design celebrates the unique character and spirit of Montréal, showcasing all that makes this city an iconic destination for both Canadian and international travelers.”
Third Air Canada Café
This new Montréal location is the third Air Canada Café and the first outside of Toronto, following the opening of its first location at Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) in 2019 and the second at Toronto Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ) in 2023.

It is now open to Air Canada business class passengers as well as Aeroplan 50K, 75K, and Super Elite Status members, Star Alliance Gold customers, and Aeroplan co-brand cardholders. To gain access, eligible passengers simply need to scan their boarding pass at the eGates by the entrance.

“This new space, with its design unique to our beautiful city, will enhance the level of service offered in the domestic area of our terminal, in addition to reinforcing our commitment to offer, in collaboration with our great partner Air Canada, a welcome worthy of the greatest international airports to our passengers.”
