Amex GBT’s Meetings Express Adds Workspace Booking Tool

In partnership with Meetingsbooker.com, the service provides flexible daytime solutions for out-of-office locations

Travel management company American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) has launched Workspaces, a new booking tool for remote workers and small teams. The service allows customers to make flexible daytime bookings of meeting venues, co-working spaces, guestrooms with desks, converted suites and small hotel meeting rooms for work and collaboration.

The GBT’s Workspaces solution is supported by a partnership with the booking platform MeetingsBooker.com, an on-demand meeting venue reservations site.

Bookings are made through GBT’s Meetings Express platform, which was launched in 2019 to offer customers a single global interface for sourcing small, simple and recurring meetings.

The service is designed to serve the needs of employees who seek safe, productive places to work, and companies that need controllable, cost-efficient options for their staff to get together where office use is restricted. As travel returns, Workspaces will also provide options for people whose offices have not yet reopened.

With some companies reviewing their real estate strategies, customers are looking for innovative solutions, said Wesley Bergstrom, GBT’s vice president, global supplier partnerships. “GBT Workspaces is another way we’re meeting their needs as they navigate the new normal.”
