The waterfront hotel and residences will open in the Pacific coast resort destination of Mazatlán in 2023

March 9, 2021

Accor’s lifestyle Hyde hotel brand is set to debut in Mexico with a waterfront property in the resort town of Mazatlán.

The hotel and branded residences is slated to open in late 2023, and will offer 150 rooms and 50 premium residences, as well as 300 feet of private beach access along Mexico’s Pacific coast.

Features will include a swimming pool overlooking the sea, five dining outlets, spa and fitness facilities, and meeting and events space.

The resort town is served by Mazatlán International airport, with connections to Mexico City and North American destinations including Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and Vancouver.

The Hyde brand forms part of Accor’s global lifestyle hotel partnership with UK-based developer Ennismore, which was announced in late 2020. The brand originated as an LA nightclub in 2005, and its current portfolio includes two hotels in Hollywood Beach and Midtown Miami.

“We are delighted to continue our international growth across our hotel brands in collaboration with Accor,” commented Chadi Farhat, chief operating officer of SBE which is owned by Accor. “Mazatlán is the ideal destination for Hyde as it has grown into one of México’s leading travel destinations boasting a vibrant art scene and spirited culture.”
