It takes a lot to become “Airline of the Year” for an airline company. It has to surpass the competition, shimmer with service accolades, creative amenity concepts, meticulously crafted cuisine, and all manner of stellar support structures, from check-in to arrival.

Qatar Airways has successfully been awarded “Airline of the Year” by Skytrax an unprecedented seven times. And this top award for Qatar Airways was complemented in 2022 by additional coveted accolades, including World’s Best Business Class, World’s Best Business Class Lounge Dining, and Best Airline in the Middle East.

Qatar Airways has spent the past decade building its fleet into one of the best flight experiences in the sky, especially for business travelers with long routes to take and important meetings to make. It now brings an upgraded cabin experience to optimize deep rest and relaxation – all starting with a smart seat designed with privacy in mind.

The airline introduced its game changing Qsuite in 2017 and found a winner. The patented, pliable Business Class Quad suite can be modified according to the wants of each passenger, but is especially attractive to couples, families or business colleagues traveling together. Couples could sleep side-by-side in the first-ever double bed in the air, with privacy offered by flexible sliding doors on each side of the aisle.

The Qsuite could be configured as an individual seat for one, a shared compartment for two and even a shared compartment for four by employing flexible retracting panels between seats and moveable TV monitors. From two passengers to a small group, they all could share a meal, have face-to-face conversations, even engage in a high-level meeting.

But the Qsuite was not intended for couples and groups only. Individual travelers also meet a sophisticated seat design along the 1-2-1 interior architecture of Qatar Airways’ 42-seat Business Class cabins seen on the latest Boeing and Airbus long-haul aircraft throughout the fleet. Those seat luxuries start with the sliding privacy door that separates the seat from the aisle offering a cozy and private mid-air retreat with lie-flat beds. The Qsuite is graced with a variety of organizing compartments to hold the small things that fall during flight and can also be used to stow the noise-cancelling headphones offered to each passenger. To seal the experience, soft pajamas, along with quality bedding, give each passenger a sweet Qsuite send-off with everything but the good night kiss.

The Q Factor: Exquisite Dining, Unrivaled Service

As inflight cuisine has become as much of a science as it is an art, Qatar Airways has taken the inflight dining experience, not to the next level but to the top with a menu made for royalty and service to match. From lobster tail to oxtail, from vegan to sectarian to low calorie to gluten-free, Qatar Airways delivers what passengers desire – and what they require – with a little magic and a lot of flavor. Check out what’s on for a specific flight, or request menu preferences ahead of a flight through a simple transaction on the airline’s website.

Enjoy those moments with white-gloved service onboard and topped by unexpected deserts, sweets, healthy snacks and savor-worthy libations – served with a warm smile.

The Many Ways of Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways currently flies to more than 150 destinations worldwide, connecting through its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport. The award-winning airport is home to Al Mourjan Business lounge where passengers can rest up in semi-private quarters, shower, dine and shop amid expansive concourses of international designer boutiques and alluring jewelry shops.

A member of the oneworld alliance, Qatar Airways shares benefits with a dozen other top international carriers. More recently, it became the official airline partner of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

Qatar Airways U.S. gateways include JFK, IAD, BOS, PHL, ATL, MIA, ORD, DFW, IAH, LAX, SEA and SFO.  And U.S. business travelers can also benefit from the airline’s deepening partnerships with JetBlue, Alaska Airlines and American Airlines.

Wheels Up

With a well of awards and a horizon of possibilities, Qatar Airways is clearly the international airline company to watch. It may be the next Business Class amenity, industry-defying seat design, lounge service detail, gourmet cuisine theme or proactive convenience … but it will bring the buzz and new expectations for what premier flying can be and should be. Experience their on-board cabins for yourself through the airline’s first-ever virtual customer journey, Qverse. If inflight luxury has a definition, it can be found on Qatar Airways.
