JetBlue Announces 24 New Flights
New routes will launch in November and December, and will include key cities in Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean
JetBlue has announced a launch of 24 new routes that will begin operating later this year, focusing on new nonstop routes and including many that are new to the airline. The routes focus on key cities in Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The new flights take off in November and December and are available to book now.
The flights include expanded Mint service from Newark, growing the airlines’ presence in Newark with more than six new routes to the Caribbean from the New Jersey airport.
Other flights include new international service at LAX and other domestic flights from Los Angeles including flights to Richmond, VA, Palm Beach (with limited Mint service) and Raleigh-Durham, NC.
Also featured are new nonstop western US flights from Fort Lauderdale unique to JetBlue, and new city pairs across the Southeast, Florida, the West Coast, Caribbean and Latin America.
The airline said it would reactivate some temporarily parked aircraft to support the new routes, which would be regularly evaluated for profitability and viability.
Scott Laurence, head of revenue and planning for JetBlue said in a statement that the new routes “even in the current environment” advance the airline’s network strategy and doubles down on their ability to generate more cash sooner.
