British Airways has confirmed it will reintroduce its Club World meal service to business class passengers by the end of the month.

Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, airlines worldwide have been scrambling to make cuts to their inflight services to stay afloat in a market where demand has dropped dramatically. British Airways was no different, with the airline having suspended its exclusive business class meal program on long-haul flights for more than two years.

According to British Airways, the airline was forced to cut the Club World meal from its service because of staffing issues.

Club World is British Airways’ premium business class service for transatlantic and other long-haul flights, but passengers have had to make do with the same inflight meal as economy passengers for the past two years.

From October 28, however, the U.K. flag carrier will be reviving its pre-pandemic menu for Club World passengers.

The Club World dining experience begins with a bowl of nuts and a choice of drink, followed by one of the best three-course meals you can get on a flight.

All courses are served on ceramic plates instead of plastic trays. On some routes, passengers will also be offered British Airways’ signature afternoon tea—a quintessentially British experience.

Confirmation that the menu is returning should please British Airways’ frequent flyers, with the carrier’s long-held reputation of providing exemplary service somewhat declining over recent years.

This latest announcement comes soon after the airline introduced new first and business class suites on flights to multiple destinations, including Singapore, Sydney, and Los Angeles.
