Accor Unveils Artista San Antonio
Located in the city’s Riverwalk area, the property will be part of SBE’s Morgans Originals collection
Accor has announced plans to open Artista San Antonio under the Morgans Originals brand. The 112-room property is scheduled to debut in the Texas city’s famed Riverwalk area in July 2023.
Facilities will include 2,500 square feet of meeting and events space, and “several of the Morgans Originals’ signature culinary and bar concepts,” according to a statement.
Morgans Originals, launched by SBE and Accor in 2019, is a collection of independent hotels that currently includes three properties – Sanderson London, St Martins Lane London and Shore Club Miami.
A fourth property, Legacy Hotels and Residences, currently under construction as part of the Miami Worldcenter complex, is also set to join the collection.
Accor acquired full ownership of SBE in 2020, as part of a venture with UK-based developer Ennsimore to create a new global lifestyle hotel company.
“San Antonio is re-emerging as a premier destination and has been one of the United States’ undiscovered gems of culture and diversity for too long,” said Chadi Farhat, chief operating officer of SBE. “Rich in history, San Antonio is a 300-year-old Spanish colonial city and we are excited to celebrate that culture on the Riverwalk at Artista San Antonio.”
