Breeze Airways Launches 20 New Routes Across the U.S.

Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways has announced yet another major expansion of its domestic network with more than 20 new direct routes, including at least one brand-new destination.

The new routes are all expected to be launched in time for the summer 2023 schedule, with the majority of them connecting passengers across the East Coast of the U.S.

Portland, Maine, will be served by Breeze for the first time, with four new routes in and out of the city.

“Here we grow again,” said David Neeleman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Breeze Airways. “Portland is our first Maine destination and a great addition to the route network.”

Neeleman added that he’s “always looking for new routes that people are traveling today but can’t get there nonstop. So, at Breeze, we’ll get you there twice as fast for about half the price!”

Akron/Canton (CAK) to:

• Pittsburgh (PIT) from May 25^th (2x weekly)

Los Angeles (LAX) to:

• Raleigh/Durham (RDU) from May 17^th (2x weekly)
• Jacksonville (JAX) from May 18^th (3x weekly)
• New Orleans (MSY) from May 19^th (2x weekly)

Breeze passengers can choose between three classes of seats—Nice, Nicer, and Nicest. Tickets for the new routes are now on sale on the airline’s website, with ‘Nice’ fares starting at just $39 one way.

While most of the new routes are not served by other airlines, Breeze will face some competition on some of them. For example, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines already operate the new Raleigh/Durham to Los Angeles service. Likewise, Breeze will directly compete with JetBlue and Southwest on its Hartford-Tampa and Providence-Orlando services.

In addition to these new routes that will launch between May and July this year, Breeze is also adding new services to Raleigh/Durham later this week with new nonstop services to New Orleans, Providence, and Hartford. Moreover, flights from Jacksonville to Columbus (CMH) will begin in May.

The low-cost carrier will offer more than 140 direct routes to 35 destinations across the U.S.
