Yotel opens properties at new Istanbul Airport

The impressive new airport in Istanbul opened last weekend after several delays and a gargantuan moving effort from the older Ataturk International Airport some 26 miles away. With the new fully opened airport in Istanbul, travelers can now choose from two Yotel properties at the facility.

Yotelair Istanbul Airport is located within the Family Palace Zone after security, and features 174 rooms that can be booked for overnight or flight layovers for a minimum of four hours.

First launched in London Heathrow and Gatwick, Yotelair is popular with business and leisure travelers for its coveted in-terminal locations. The brand has adopted a space-saving design and maintains a smart, traveler-friendly approach of being bookable by the hour for a minimum of four hours, provides its guests with more convenience and flexibility with their stay.

Keeping in line with Yotel’s mission to create stunning social spaces where guests can move seamlessly from work to play through the brand’s various “KOMYUNITI” areas for co-working, dining and relaxing. The Yotel presence in Istanbul will have the capacity to hold up to 200 people with facilities including private meeting rooms, a restaurant, bar and Grab+Go smart vending for guests on the move. The hotel will also has a convenient gym and 24/7 access to Mission Control for self check-in at kiosks – something that reduces stress and saves time as check-in can be managed in minutes.

Yotelair’s location is quite useful for travelers who want to wake up minutes away from their departure gate or those in transit who wish to make the most of their stay in between flights. Each cabin is furnished with the Yotel’s signature space-saving SmartBed that converts from a sofa to a bed by pushing a single button. All cabins offer adjustable mood lighting, a smart TV that connects to personal devices, and private bathroom. Prices for a cabin start from $157 per night at Yotel and $102 for four hours at Yotelair.

Yotel currently has 30 hotels in either operation or under development and plans to increase that number to 60 by 2023.
