W South Beach Offers On-site COVID-19 PCR Testing
On-site medical amenities and testing are being added to the perks of luxury travel
W South Beach in Miami Beach, FL, is one of the first US luxury hotels to offer on-site Covid-19 PCR testing to its guests and staff, through its partnership with New York City’s medical concierge service, Sollis Health.
The new Sollis Health testing center is located on the ground floor of W South Beach. Guests may book their PCR test through a QR code in their suites and receive results within 24 hours. The center will soon have on-call doctors and in-room PCR testing. The center is part of the $30 million renovation unveiled at W South Beach last month.
W Hotels is one of the brands of Marriott International, which has also announced that beginning in January, it will offer meetings and events participants the option for COVID-19 testing at selected US properties.
The testing protocols include self-administered COVID-19 tests taken by guests prior to travel or testing administered by a third-party provider on site at the hotel.
