Rapid Growth This Year Seen in Business Travel on Airbnb for Work
Business travel on Airbnb continues to grow at a rapid pace, tripling from 2015 to 2016 and tripling again from 2016 to 2017, according to a new report from the accommodations sharing company.
Nearly 700,000 companies have signed up for and booked with Airbnb for Work, according to the report. Nearly 275,000 of these companies have directly engaged with Airbnb to help manage their travel.
According to SAP Concur, the number of its customers expensing Airbnb stays increased by 42 percent from 2016 to 2017 and includes 63 percent of SAP Concur’s Fortune 500 customers. In the coming weeks, SAP Concur will begin incorporating Airbnb listings into its search and booking tool, the first time such listings will appear within a corporate travel partner’s platform.
