Brussels Airlines Adds Economy Light Fare on Transatlantic Flights

Brussels Airlines adds a new option for transatlantic travelers – Economy Light Fare. This option is the lowest price option and is great for passengers only requiring a carrying bag. Passengers have the option of paying a la carte for luggage or seat choice. Fares for flights from Brussels to New York’s JFK start at ~ $445.  

Dirk Janzen, VP Pricing & Revenue Management, Distribution and Commercial Steering states: “The new Economy Light Fare is a further development of our efforts to offer individualized solutions to cater to the needs of our different types of guests. It is a logical step after having introduced a similar hand luggage-only fare on our European routes in 2014. From now on, guests on our North American destinations will be able to only pay for the product they actually use.”

The fare is also available on flights to Washington D.C. and Toronto, Canada.
