Delta is doubling down on its partnership with Shake Shack, bringing the acclaimed fast-casual burger joint to even more passengers.

Starting this week, domestic First Class travelers on flights over 900 miles from Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York-LaGuardia, and Seattle can indulge in Shake Shack’s signature cheeseburger while in flight.

This expansion follows the December launch in Boston, where Delta passengers devoured more than 10,000 Shake Shack burgers in just a few months.

“Customers are raving about the Shake Shack experience onboard our flights after serving more than 10,000 burgers out of Boston since launching in December,” said Stephanie Laster, Delta’s Managing Director of Onboard Service. “This is part of our work to partner with brands our customers already know and love while continuing to raise the bar for the in-flight experience.”

Before departure, First Class passengers on eligible flights can pre-select the Shake Shack Cheeseburger—made with a 100 percent Angus beef patty, cheese, and a toasted potato bun.

Delta says that to improve the experience, customization is also an option, with passengers having the opportunity to add toppings like lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce served on the side. The meal is complemented by chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie.

Michael Kark, President of Global Licensing at Shake Shack, shared his excitement about the expanded collaboration: “Our partnership with Delta has been a truly fantastic way to bring Shake Shack to even more guests in a setting where hospitality truly matters – while traveling.”

More Menu Upgrades for Delta’s Centennial

In addition to the burger, Delta is rolling out additional culinary enhancements across its cabins this spring in honor of its 100th anniversary.

Passengers in First Class can enjoy a special Biscoff Sandwich Cookie, while those in Main Cabin and Comfort+ will find limited-edition Centennial packaging on classic Biscoff cookies and Atlanta-based SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale.

For those with specific dietary preferences, Delta is refreshing its Special Meals program in First Class and Delta One. The airline will continue offering chef-curated, in-house meals catering to various dietary restrictions, ensuring a more inclusive onboard dining experience.

“Every customer should feel a sense of belonging when traveling with us – regardless of dietary restrictions or preferences,” Laster said. “This program is just one of the ways we are providing consistent and elevated options for all customers.”

Meatballs Expand to More Routes

One of Delta’s fan-favorite dishes—Jon & Vinny’s braised meatballs with Bianco DiNapoli marinara—has also earned a wider audience. Originally served exclusively on flights out of LAX, the meatballs will now be available on select First Class routes across the West and Southwest, including flights from Anchorage to Austin.

Additionally, Delta One passengers departing from cities such as Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Orlando, Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Tampa will have access to the dish.

Champagne and Zero-Proof Drinks

Delta is also updating its beverage menu, featuring a new highlight: Champagne Taittinger, which will be served in Delta One on international flights.

Starting this month, Taittinger Brut la Française, a Champagne from one of France’s most esteemed producers, will be available on the Delta One bar cart and offered as a pre-meal beverage on international flights. Like all of Delta’s premium beverage offerings, it will be available throughout the flight.

The Taittinger Brut La Française label consists of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier wines sourced from at least 35 villages, making it a remarkable choice for Delta’s front-cabin customers.

In addition to Taittinger, other premium wines added to the lineup include Jordan Vineyard & Winery’s Cabernet Sauvignon, Bodegas Riojanas Viña Albina Reserva Rioja, and Prejuges Chardonnay.

Recognizing the increasing demand for non-alcoholic options, Delta is introducing a selection of zero-proof beverages for a limited time on select routes. Customers can purchase options such as Q Hibiscus Ginger Beer, Lyre’s Amalfi Italian Spritz, Filthy Margarita Mix, and Red Bull Energy Drink, which are available either as standalone drinks or paired with a spirit.

With these enhancements, Delta continues to elevate its in-flight dining experience, providing customers with a wider variety of choices, high-quality ingredients, and exceptional flavors that enhance the travel experience.
