Marriott Introduces Three Work From Hotel Packages

The “work from anywhere” products include a Day Pass, a Stay Pass, with an overnight, and a Play Pass, which offers family experiences

Marriott has introduced three work-from-hotel packages at properties in various destinations around the world: Day Pass, Stay Pass and Play Pass. With the program, the world’s largest chain joins a growing number of hotel brands offering rooms as offices for remote workers as part of the “work-from-hotel” trend.

“Working remotely doesn’t necessarily have to mean working from home, where blurred lines between personal and professional lives can create distractions and stress,” said Stephanie Linnartz, group president – consumer operations, technology and emerging businesses for Marriott International.

Day Pass

With the Day Pass, guests can go to work as early as 6:00 AM and check out at 6:00 PM from the hotel room. The package includes WiFi and access to on-property business facilities such as printing, fax and scanning equipment “wherever available and depending on brand.”

Marriott Bonvoy members receive a complimentary welcome kit of “healthy” snacks, gift shop discounts, and lounge access “where available” for those with Platinum, Titanium or Ambassador Elite status. In addition members will earn points on eligible hotel charges.

The Day Pass package is currently being offered in select hotels in Atlanta, Phoenix, Dallas, New York, Toronto, London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, with planned expansion in Europe, Middle East and Latin America, according to Marriott.

Stay Pass

This package combines a Day Pass for work with an overnight stay. It includes an early check in at 6:00 AM and late checkout at 6:00 PM the day of departure. In addition to all the feature in the Day Pass, guests can also access other hotel amenities, such as the pool or gym “in markets where regulations allow.”

A free breakfast and complimentary evening cocktails will also be offered “wherever available.”

Marriott Bonvoy members will earn Elite night credits, points on eligible hotel charges, gift shop discounts. Those with Platinum, Titanium or Ambassador Elite status will also enjoy lounge access where available.

Stay Pass is currently available at nearly 2,000 hotels worldwide.

Play Pass

The Play Pass package is for guests “seeking to work while also getting away – even with family,” according to Marriott.

The Play Pass provides a business concierge, supervised kids’ activities, preferred office/study spaces along with curated experiences for the whole family.

Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to earn Elite night credits and points on eligible charges along with access to standard member benefits.

Play Pass is currently available in many locations including properties in Bali, Venice, Hawaii, Florida, California, Arizona, Cancun, Rio de Janeiro, Sharm el-Sheikh, Limassol, Cyprus, Koh Samui, Thailand, and Marabella and Tenerife in Spain.
