Wynn Las Vegas Opens New Convention Space Powered by Renewable Energy

The Las Vegas resort company now offers 560,000 square feet of smartly designed and completely sustainable meeting space

Wynn Las Vegas doubled its convention space availability last month with the opening of its new 430,000-square-foot meeting and convention expansion — a feat that focused on sustainability with applaudable measures the company is putting in place to save energy and resources.

With an additional 300,000 new rentable square feet at Wynn and Encore, the Las Vegas hospitality company can offer group event clients 560,000 rentable square feet of flexible space.

“Our new expansion seamlessly complements the existing space at Wynn and Encore, giving clients endless options to create memorable events, all backed by the same award-winning five-star service that only Wynn can provide,” said Chris Flatt, EVP of Hotel Sales at Wynn Las Vegas. “The architecture, design, and spectacular views create an event experience unlike anything else in Vegas.”

The bi-level expansion offers sweeping views of the resort’s new 18-hole championship golf course, Wynn’s signature indoor-outdoor design approach, lush landscapes, gourmet catering, and cutting-edge sustainability programs. And as is the case with the existing event space, the new expansion is powered by 100 percent renewable energy sourced and delivered directly from the off-site 160-acre Wynn Solar Facility in Northern Nevada as well as the on-site rooftop solar panels. The move is an industry first for a gaming operator in Nevada.

The grand rotunda entrance leads to 18 intelligently scaled rooms ideal for a variety of uses from small receptions to large general sessions, accented by sunswept promenades, oversized terraces, and floor-to-ceiling windows. The expansion brings a 20,000-square-foot outdoor pavilion with an adjacent 20,000-square-foot lawn, a 2,500-square-foot luxury lounge featuring a state-of-the-art 72-by-9-foot LED video wall, and a deftly engineered 83,000-square-foot, pillar-less ballroom, the largest at the resort and one of the largest in Las Vegas.
