JetBlue Explores Non-Traditional City Pairs

JetBlue inaugurates transcontinental service to Virginia’s capital, Richmond, and announces 2021 expansion plans

JetBlue has launched new nonstop transcontinental flights between Los Angeles International Airport and Richmond, VA. In addition the airline has also launched the city’s first direct service from Richmond to Las Vegas. Last month, the carrier started flights from RIC to Tampa, FL.

 

Richmond, is located 90 miles south of Washington, DC.  Businesses and attractions throughout the Richmond Region have strict COVID-19 practices and precautions in place. 

 

In the first half of 2021, JetBlue says it plans to launch 24 new routes overall as it explores other non-traditional city pairs. In its latest round of expansion, the airline will offer flights to Miami and Key West in Florida, as well as Los Cabos in Mexico and Guatemala City for the first time.

 

Nine new routes will connect Miami and Key West in Florida, Los Cabos in Mexico, and Guatemala City with the carrier’s home markets of Boston, Los Angeles, and New York. Of the new routes to Florida and Latin America, its service between Miami and Los Angeles will feature the revamped Mint business class.
